Kleberg County Attorney's Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force

KINGSVILLE - (News Release) On the week of June 20th, Agents from Kleberg County Attorney Kira Talip-Sanchez’s Task Force, has put a little damper on criminal activity on Highway 77. The Agents have located several hundred thousand in United States Currency and have linked this currency to illegal activity.

The Agents credit these recent seizures on team work. The Task Force Agents worked with Kingsville Police Department, US Border Patrol, and Texas Department of Public Safety and managed to interrupt these smuggling attempts before reaching the border.

So far there have been three males, and one female detained on these investigations which have been tied to a larger criminal organization. The Task Force will continue to focus on criminal interdiction in attempts to disrupt these smuggling events.
