Additional vaccines will arrive on Monday for another Mega Clinic at the Richard M. Borchard fairgrounds on Tuesday, January 19. The quantity of vaccines that will be received has not been confirmed.

Nueces County is working on providing transportation to the Mega Clinic to eligible residents who are homebound or lack transportation.

The drive-through Mega Clinic at the fairgrounds has vaccinated more than 6500 people and will continue to vaccinate 2500 more on Saturday, January 16.

Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales said, “…our processes are getting better and we are delivering more vaccines in less time. We are learning quickly, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions to improve operations. Because of our proven ability to deliver, we got an increase in the amount of vaccine we were provided by the State of Texas.”

The regional Mega Clinic serves more than 360,000 in a region of about one million.
