Kingsville ISD teacher Cory Scarborough Arrested for Tracking Device

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - The Kingsville Police Department (KPD) has made an arrest following a thorough investigation that began in April when a local resident reported finding a suspicious device on their vehicle. Investigators determined the instrument was a tracking device and further investigation led officers to their suspect, Cory Scarborough.
Detectives determined they had relevant evidence to charge Scarborough with Unlawful Installation of a Tracking Device, a Class A misdemeanor under the Texas Penal Code. On September 26, 2024, Scarborough voluntarily surrendered himself at the Kingsville Police Department.
He was taken into custody, booked into the Kleberg County Jail, and released on a $500 bond.
Chief John Blair emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming as more details are uncovered.
In a press release, KPD stated that the department is committed to ensuring that all aspects of the case are handled with diligence and care. The department will not be releasing any additional details that could identify the victim in this case.
“The safety and security of our community are paramount. We want to assure the public that we are taking every necessary step to ensure justice is served,” said Chief Blair. “We are committed to conducting a full and transparent investigation, and we urge anyone with additional information to come forward.”

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - Last night on September 26, 2024, at 6:58 pm, Kleberg County Sheriff's Office booked Kingsville ISD Chemistry Teacher, 34-year-old Cory Scarborough, for the unlicensed installation of a tracking device.
According to his LinkedIn page, Scarborough has been with Kingsville ISD for nine years.
