$264,603 Awarded to City Nonprofit Organizations

 

Corpus Christi, TEXAS (News Release) - Corpus Christi City Council approved funding to respond to homelessness.

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has allocated $264,603 to the City for the Homeless Housing and Services Program (HHSP) in FY 2026, including $55,371 designated for programs supporting at-risk youth.

The City will serve as a pass-through entity for these funds.

The agencies benefiting from these funds include:

• The Salvation Army

• Dismas Charities

• Mother Teresa Shelter

• Mission 911

• Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse – Coastal Bend

• Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living

HHSP aims to provide financial support to the nine largest cities in Texas to enhance services for homeless individuals and families.
