2 Men Captured After Fleeing from Law Enforcement in Robstown

ROBSTOWN (News Release) - Deputies with Constable Oscar Mendoza arrested twenty-eight-year-old Avery Lambert from Annavile and thirty-seven-year-old David Medina Jr.

Just before midnight on Sunday night, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on Dakota St. The vehicle refused to stop and fled making several quick turns. The driver later identified as David Medina Jr. was caught after a short foot chase and was charged with Fleeing From Police. Medina is currently at the Nueces County Jail awaiting bond.

On a separate incident, twenty-eight year old Avery Lambert was arrested after deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Cr 73 and Emil. The driver Justin Vargas was arrested on outstanding warrants out of San Patricio County. The passenger identified as Avery Lambert fled on foot, but was caught a few minutes later. Lambert had been hiding from police since April 17, 2023 when deputies attempted to stop Lambert who at the time was driving a white passenger car. Lamber evaded police and ended -up fleeing on foot back on the 17th. A warrant for Lamber was issued for Evading Using a Motor Vehicle and Tampering With Physical Evidence.

Lambert is currently at The Nueces County Jail on two felony charges of Evading and one felony charge of Tampering With Evidence.
