There’s always a “first,” and on Friday, Oct. 25, Del Mar College will host its first-ever “Viking Fest” from 5 to 10 p.m. on the Windward Campus. This family-friendly event expands other annual fall activities and celebrates what it means to be a Viking. Viking Fest 2024 features giant inflatables, carnival-type games, demonstrations by the Public Safety and Transportation Training Services Programs, awards ceremony for the Día de los Muertos Student Welding Competition, a car show featuring multiple vehicles, live music by the Jon Carr Band and DJ support from DIJIT, a 100-foot obstacle course, Pumpkin Bouncer, Quarterback Blitz and lots more.
Admission is free with ticket booths set up for games, food and beverages costs.
