Viano String Quartet

Praised for their “virtuosity, visceral expression and rare unity of intention” by the Boston Globe, the Viano String Quartet is scheduled for the first concert presented by the Corpus Christi Chamber Music Society (CCCMS) as they begin their 45th season.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Wolfe Recital Hall located on the Heritage Campus. The ensemble has quickly soared to international acclaim as one of the most dynamic and in-demand string quartets of their generation. Winners of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2025, the Viano String Quartet has captivated audiences worldwide ever since they were awarded First Prize at the 13th Banff International String Quartet Competition, leading to appearances at renowned venues such as Lincoln Center in New York, Berlin’s Konzerthaus, Toronto’s Koerner Hall, Hong Kong’s City Hall and London’s Wigmore Hall. Quartet members currently serve as Bowers Program Artists at The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center from through 2027. • Cost: free for DMC students with valid student I.D., $5 for individuals age 25 and under and $30 general admission. Season tickets are also available (6 concerts plus bonus ticket) for $150. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the concert.
