The Music of Billy Joel starring Michael Cavanaugh

  • Richardson Performance Hall 101 Baldwin Boulevard Corpus Christi, TX, 78404 United States (map)

Join the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra (CCSO) for an unforgettable evening celebrating the timeless hits of Billy Joel.

Audiences across the nation have raved about The Music of Billy Joel starring Michael Cavanaugh, a high-energy, symphonic rock concert that brings the spirit and sound of the “Piano Man” to life, and now you can hear Joel’s classics on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Del Mar College’s Richardson Performance Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Cavanaugh is recognized as the new voice of the American Rock & Roll Songbook and a charismatic performer and musician made famous for his piano playing and lead vocals in the Broadway musical Movin’ Out. Handpicked by Billy Joel to star in the Tony Award-winning and Grammy and Emmy Awards-nominated production, Cavanaugh evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man himself. He appeared in the show for three years with over 1,200 performances and received multiple accolades. Learn more about Cavanaugh on his website: michaelcavanaugh.com/.

Celebrating 80 years in 2025 of bringing music and passion to Corpus Christi, the CCSO gave an inaugural performance in October 1951 to open what was then known as Del Mar College Auditorium. This fall, the college will mark Richardson Performance Hall’s 75th anniversary of serving the community as a cultural hub. The CCSO’s February performance, The Music of Billy Joel starting Michael Cavanaugh, brings another event to the “RPH” that builds on its performance legacy.  Tickets range from $20 to $80, including fees. Ticket purchases and seating selections are online through the CCSO at ci.ovationtix.com/36687/production/1238399?performanceId=11637878
