NEC Co-op Energy will host its “Supply A Teacher” Meet & Greet, celebrating 27 teachers from 23 schools across Texas who are being awarded $30,000 in classroom grants.
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 6, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 14353 Cooperative Avenue in Robstown, TX.
This one-hour celebration is a heartfelt show of support for educators who dedicate their lives to inspiring the next generation. Guests can expect an evening filled with food, prizes, and a special gift for each teacher, along with a time of recognition to honor the incredible impact they have in their classrooms.
“Coming from a family of teachers. They often have to dig through their own pockets to supply fun things for their kids,” said Meagan Benavides, NEC’s Corporate Communications Representative, “I’m proud to work for a company that has this program. The Supply A Teacher Program gives these teachers the hope and support that they need. I had teachers crying over the phone when I told them they were getting these funds. It was really impactful.”
