The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation (bushhoustonliteracty.org) and 1PointFive (1PointFive.com) will serve as presenting sponsors of the Nueces County Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Program that encourages kids to read and beat the summer heat while learning inside.
Nueces County Public Libraries will use READsquared for the Summer Reading Program, which runs June 1–July 12, 2023. READsquared is an online reading platform that inspires children to read by allowing them to earn points and badges for time spent reading. Thanks to support from the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and 1PointFive, readers also will be awarded a bundle of new books upon achieving their Summer Reading Program reading goals so they can build their home library.
