The Del Mar College Music Department provides a variety of camps that provide Coastal Bend youth with the opportunity to have fun while they hone their musical talent. Camps range from orchestral string and classical guitar to band and choir and give participants exposure to world-class educators on a college campus while meeting new friends with the same musical interests.

Del Mar College Summer 2024 Orchestra Camp for High School String Players
The Del Mar College Music Department invites high school-age string players––including violin, viola, cello and bass––to play during the DMC Chamber Orchestra’s annual summer concert scheduled for Friday, June 21, under the direction of faculty member Todd Ehle.
Serving as a summer camp for interested young string players, participants will rehearse with seasoned players Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. May 30 and June 6, 13, and 20. Cost is $45 with online application available. The June 21 concert performance begins at 7 p.m. in Wolfe Recital Hall located in the Fine Arts Center Music Building on the College’s Heritage Campus.
