South Texas Brass Symposium at Del Mar College

  • Wolfe Recital Hall 101 Baldwin Boulevard Corpus Christi, TX, 78404 United States (map)

The South Texas Brass Symposium was created to promote the performance, education and awareness of brass music in the South Texas region. This year, organizers welcome guest artists Septura Brass, who will present a brass chamber music masterclass from 10 a.m. to noon in Wolfe Recital Hall on Del Mar College’s Heritage Campus.

Come see members of this acclaimed brass ensemble work with student performers from area colleges and universities who will then perform in their own brass chamber ensembles. Beginning at 2 p.m., DMC Music Department faculty members Danny Miller, Karl Kemm and Donald Pinson will present a Brass Trio Recital that showcases music spanning the centuries for trumpet, horn and trombone. Join in the celebration with rich and exciting repertoire of music for brass instruments during this year’s South Texas Brass Symposium! The symposium is free and open to the public.
