Del Mar College’s Cultural Programs Series and the Department of Music present guest pianist Kowoon Lee performing a recital featuring women composers from the United States, Mexico and Korea on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Heritage Campus Wolfe Recital Hall.
The program includes works by Margaret Bonds, Graciela Agudelo, Gabriela Ortiz, Eunhye Kim and Misook Kim. Specializing in performing music by women composers, Dr. Lee has presented lecture recitals on the subject at numerous national and international music conferences. As a champion of new music, she has worked with many renowned living composers such as Chen Yi, James Mobberley, Gabriela Ortiz and Karen Tanaka, among others.
