Small Business Contracting Event

Attention small business owners and contractors! Registration is now open for the inaugural Coastal Bend Contracting Summit; a FREE event where small businesses will have the opportunity to meet with government agencies and prime contractors that award billions of dollars in contracts.

The City of Corpus Christi has partnered with the Del Mar College APEX Accelerator to host the event this Friday, December 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Bank Center, located at 1901 Shoreline Blvd., in the Watergarden room.

The Contracting Summit features informative, interactive, and educational sessions to include:

  • A speaker series with contracting experts from local agencies.

  • Engaging sessions that enhance understanding of how to do business with the City.

  • One-on-one networking opportunities to connect vendors with purchasers.

  • Information on how to contract with public agencies and prime contractors.

  • FREE headshots to the first 50 attendees to register at the photo booth.

  • Over 25 Exhibitor tables.

  • Light snacks and refreshments.

“The City of Corpus Christi encourages businesses of all sizes to attend, as this event will offer invaluable opportunities throughout the day,” Josh Chronley, Assistant Director of Finance and Procurement said. “The City awards nearly $500,000,000 annually in contracts to businesses for goods, services, and for capital projects. This event will help local businesses navigate the procurement process and learn how to do business with the City.”
