For the 15th year, Reliant will open four Beat the Heat centers to help Corpus Christi-area residents stay cool and manage their electricity use during the hot summer months.
On Thursday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m., the City of Corpus Christi and Reliant will hold a press conference to mark the official opening of Reliant’s Beat the Heat Centers. The four locations will provide a place where residents can rest and cool off while enjoying snacks, water, and fun activities. Tools will also be available to help residents keep cool at home.
In addition, Reliant will provide 100 Arctic Air coolers to the centers and distribute 400 box fans in June and July to help residents battle the summer heat.
