On Friday, Sept. 20, Del Mar College’s Art Program with the Department of Art and Drama will host an opening reception for the Texas Photographic Society’s “32: The International Competition” art exhibition at 6 p.m. in Cain Gallery, located in the Fine Arts Center on the Heritage Campus.
“32: The International Competition” is an open-themed juried exhibition featuring 49 photographs selected by juror María Beatriz H. Carrión, historian of the art of the Americas and currently Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, Texas.
The opening reception is free and open to the public with complimentary catered food and a cash bar. The free exhibition runs through October and closes on Friday, Nov. 22. Cain Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Individuals can also view the exhibit by appointment.
