The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District is excited to announce a No-Cost Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic with extended hours on Monday, August 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The clinic, which is located at 1702 Horne Road, is being offered to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The clinic aims to ensure that all students can access essential immunizations for a healthy and safe return to school. Vaccines protect individual students and help safeguard the entire community by preventing the spread of contagious diseases.
Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to receive services, a picture ID, and a copy of their immunization record. There are no income or insurance requirements for this event.
“Staying up to date with the vaccine safeguards our students and helps protect our community from vaccine-preventable diseases,” said Dr. Dante Gonzalez, Interim Director of Public Health. “This clinic provides an important opportunity for students who have not yet received their vaccines before school begins next week.”
The Health District will offer clear backpacks filled with supplies to the first 75 school-aged children who receive their recommended vaccines at the event, while supplies last.
