Celebrating the vibrant “cultura” of mariachi music, Mariachi Del Mar will take the stage for two concerts in April to feature a blend of traditional and modern pieces. Marrk your calendar for Saturday, April 11, for the ensemble’s participation during Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s ¡Festival de Mariachi! en la Isla in their H-E-B Performance Hall at the Performing Arts Center AND for Tuesday, April 28, for their free 7:30 p.m. performance in Wolfe Recital Hall on Del Mar College’s Heritage Campus. Mariachi aficionados can expect to hear favorites from beloved artists, including Beatriz Adriana, José Alfredo Jiménez, Marco Antonio Solís and Rocío Dúrcal as well as pieces from the world-renowned Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.
