Due to extreme drought conditions, Kleberg County has placed restrictions on certain fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county.
Prohibited items: Skyrockets with sticks and missiles with fins. Basically, anything that flies, whistles, and lands somewhere you did not plan on setting on fire.
Permissible fireworks are still allowed, so you can celebrate without turning the county into a surprise brush fire.
These restrictions remain in effect until drought conditions improve or after July 4, whichever comes first.
