With a much fuller lake, Lake Corpus Christi State Park and Inland Fisheries is stocking trout for the Kid Fish event on January 30th, 2027 from 9am-2pm.
Kid Fish is in its THIRD decade of existence (cancelled last year because it was 40 degrees and raining sideways) and we can't wait to see you back at the park!
What makes Kid Fish special? Trout are stocked in the sectioned off Kid Fish area of the lake to increase chances of a catch. Kids aged 5 to 12 years old get a free pole to use during their fishing time, and take home with them! Local businesses and volunteers set up both educational and fun booths around the fishing area for everyone to visit. It's free entry for everyone!
This is a first-come first-serve event. You will sign your child up for their fishing time when you arrive at the event; they get a 1 hour slot. Participants must be present to sign up for a fishing time
