Join KEDT for a day of family-friendly fun during their 2023 Kids Festival! This free event is scheduled at the KEDT Center for Educational Broadcasting and next door in the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14.
The event includes educational activities and interactive presentations provided by several local organizations. Youngsters can even say “Hello” to Clifford the Big Red Dog during a photo meet and greet! And Del Mar College is the proud sponsor of that lovable children’s favorite … Clifford. The College is providing an additional guest appearance from DMC … Valdar the Viking! You can even take a picture with him, too!
Event attendees can meet with DMC representatives from the Public Service Department in the parking lot to learn more about the Emergency Medical Services/Emergency Medical Technician Program, the DMC Regional Fire Academy and the DMC Regional Police Academy while seeing training vehicles used to prepare area first responders, including an ambulance, fire truck and police car. Additionally, Mom and Dad also can learn a few things about Del Mar College with representatives from the Student Enrollment Center providing admissions and registration information and Continuing Education & Off-Campus Programs sharing information covering job training courses and personal enrichment offerings.
