Public Health District Offers Classes for Controlling Diabetes

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District and the Texas A&M Coastal Bend Health Education Center (CBHEC) currently offer FREE Diabetes Self-Management classes twice monthly at the Health District located at 1702 Horne Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The classes focus on practical tips for controlling diabetes and include FREE:

  • Wellness screenings

  • Glucose meters

  • Glucose strips

  • Lunch (Healthy Options)

Schedule for upcoming classes:

  • August 10

  • August 24

  • September 14

  • September 28

Participants must pre-register by calling the CBHEC at 361-561-8584.
