Del Mar College’s Cultural Programs Committee and the DMC Music Department present a Guest Artist Recital with trombonist Jacob Muzquiz on Friday, March 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Wolfe Recital Hall on Heritage Campus. Accompanied by pianist Astrid Morales Torres, Muzquiz’s performance program features works specifically written for trombone. Currently, he holds the Principal Trombone position with the Dallas Opera Orchestra and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Trombone at the University of Texas at Arlington. While at Del Mar College, Muzquiz will also present a masterclass the same day at 1 p.m. in Music Building A (Room 101) on the Heritage Campus. Both the masterclass and the guest recital are free and open to the public.
