The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District's Neighborhood Fitness Series is back, offering free monthly events through September. These activities are designed to engage participants of all ages and fitness levels.
The Public Health District is here to support you in starting or maintaining your wellness journey for 2025. Stay on track and connect with the community while achieving your health goals!
“We are bringing these activities to your neighborhood parks so that residents who live near the park can see and learn how to take full advantage of it and what it offers. Participants also get to meet their neighbors, which could lead to a neighborhood walking or running group that meets regularly at the park,” said Dr. Dante Gonzalez, Interim Director of Public Health. “The sessions are intended to promote healthy living, improve public health outcomes, and decrease lifestyle-related diseases for the overall well-being of our community.”
In partnership with the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department and VF Productions, this health initiative encourages wellness and strengthens community connections through running/walking, Zumba, and yoga activities. Special guests include SOMOS YOGA, Latin Fuego Cardio Madness, and the Nueces County Medical Society.
All events will be held on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The next event is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, at Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve, 2446 N. Oso Parkway (District 4).
7:30 a.m. – Run/Walk
8:00 a.m. – Zumba
9:00 a.m. – Yoga (A limited number of mats will be provided for the yoga class.)
