Dental Hygiene Clinic Offering Free Spring Semester Services

  • Del Mar College Windward Campus 4101 Old Brownsville Road Corpus Christi, TX, 78405 United States (map)

It’s spring cleaning time, and Del Mar College’s Dental Hygiene Program is offering some ways to help Coastal Bend residents’ smile a little brighter while keeping a little more “green” in their wallets by providing FREE services now until May 1.

The clinic gives DMC Dental Hygiene students the required hands-on experience they need to complete the program to become dental professionals while providing a community service under the supervision of DMC Dental Programs faculty. The Dental Hygiene Clinic offers a variety of services including cleanings, scaling procedures, medical history reviews, blood pressure screenings, intra-oral examinations, dental preliminary assessments, periodontal assessments, dental hygiene education, oral cancer screenings, radiographs (x-rays), advanced periodontal therapy, dental hygiene therapy and dental sealants.

Patient selection is based on the educational and clinical requirements of Dental Hygiene students, and faculty will make the determination to accept patients after a required “qualifying appointment” is completed.

Selected qualified patients’ care usually requires more than one visit. The Dental Hygiene Clinic is located in Health Sciences Building 1 on the Windward Campus. Spring semester operational hours are Mondays through Thursdays 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. as well as Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon with appointments required. For full details about patient selection, appointments and other pertinent information, visit www.delmar.edu/offices/dental-clinic/index.html.
