De Generación en Generación - Art Panel Discussion

As part of Hispanic Month observations, guest speakers Dr. Carey Rote with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), Dr. Liz Kim with Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Gina Palacios with The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley will present an art panel discussion, “De Generación en Generación: Three Generations of South Texas Chicano/a Artists,” at Del Mar College on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The one-hour discussion begins at 11 a.m. in the College’s Center for Mexican American Studies (Room 133) in the Coles Building on the Heritage Campus. These three guests will discuss their upcoming art exhibition, which opens in November in TAMU-CC’s Weil Gallery as a collaborative exhibit featuring works by Antonio E. García, Amado Peña and Palacios that traces the evolution of Chicano/a art in South Texas over the past century. The art panel discussion is free and open to the public.
