Cooking Demonstration by Chef Maria Mata

Mmmmm…the smell of fresh, homemade flour tortillas. Can you smell them? Want to learn how to make them? You can during Chef Maria Mata’s hands-on cooking demonstration where she and her assistant will teach you the process beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, as part of Del Mar College’s observances during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The demonstration is now scheduled in Room 319 in the Coles Building on the Heritage Campus. Learn about the history, techniques and secrets behind creating these essential staples of Mexican cuisine. The demonstration is free and open to the public.

• Thursday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to noon, Four Tortilla Cooking Demonstration as part of DMC Hispanic Heritage Month observances.
