Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra Presents “An American Celebration” Featuring Pianist Norman Krieger and Area Choirs, including Del Mar College’s Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and Master Chorus
While the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra has turned 80, the country turns 250 in 2026. On Saturday, April 18, join the CCSO, along with pianist Norman Krieger and area choirs––including Del Mar College’s Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and Master Chorus––for “An American Celebration” to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Performing Arts Center. Los Angeles native Norman Krieger is described as one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation and is highly regarded as an artist of depth, sensitivity and virtuosic flair. He regularly appears with major North American orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra and National Symphony and has performed throughout Europe, Asia and South America. Among the works area choral ensembles will perform are “America the Beautiful,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Lincoln’s Portrait.” Tickets are sold through the CCSO website with patrons asked to make purchases in advance.
