Stop by the Broadmoor Senior Center on Saturday, July 15, to receive your at-home cooling kit to help ease the summer heat.
For the 14th year, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with Reliant to help residents “Beat the Heat!” Along with opening cooling centers, the Parks & Recreation Department will offer two curbside cooling kit distributions this summer. The kits will be available for curbside pickup from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or while supplies last.
The 250 cooling kits will each include a box floor fan, an indoor activity, and a fruit cup. There is a limit of one box fan per family and a maximum of two per vehicle. The resident must be present to receive items. Kits are for residents of all ages.
