The Downtown Management District will host its First Friday Artwalk on Friday, November 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This event supports local artists, musicians, and vendors.
To improve safety for visitors, the City’s traffic plan includes the closures of the Twigg Street and North Port Avenue/Nueces Bay exits from 11:00 a.m. on Friday until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to plan to arrive early downtown to avoid anticipated delays related to traffic, street closures, and parking.

Traffic Impacts:
Parking restrictions along Chaparral Street, Starr Street, Taylor Street, Peoples Street, and Lomax Street. Enforcement begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1.

Motorists traveling along the eastbound Martin Luther King Drive frontage road are advised to use Port Avenue to access downtown.
Motorists traveling along Southbound US 181 are advised to utilize the Up River Road exit and turnaround to access downtown via eastbound IH 37.
Motorists traveling along northbound SH 286 can utilize the Agnes Street exit to access downtown.
The closures of the Twigg Street and North Port Avenue/Nueces Bay exits are not associated with the Harbor Bridge Project.
