Join KEDT for a day of family-friendly fun during their Spring 2026 KEDT Kids Festival. This free event is scheduled at the KEDT Center for Educational Broadcasting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. The event includes educational activities and interactive presentations provided by several local organizations. Youngsters can say “Hello” to Arthur during a photo meet and greet with Del Mar College as the proud supporter of that adorable third-grade aardvark who attends Lakewood Elementary in Elwood City and faces the day-to-day experiences of most eight-year-olds. And the college is providing an additional guest appearance from DMC’s lovable mascot … Valdar the Viking. You can take a picture with him, too. Among DMC programs providing info and activities are the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs, Child Development/Early Childhood Program and Transportation Training Services (truck driving), among other representatives from whom Mom and Dad can also learn a few other things about Del Mar College, including the college’s Freedom to Dream 2.0 Tuition Waiver Program and the DMC Foundations scholarship application process. Both have application deadlines sect for April 30. For more information about the KEDT Kids Festival, visit www.kedt.org/kedt-kids-festival.
