Del Mar College 2024 All-State Choir Camp for Large Schools
For high school singers, it’s a week (four days) of fun but intense preparation using Texas Music Educators Association audition music during the Del Mar College Music Department’s 2024 All-State Choir Camp for Large Schools June 17-18 and 20-21 on the Heritage Campus from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Wednesday, June 19, is Juneteenth with the College closed in observance of the state-wide holiday. The camp includes fun rehearsals and sectionals with highly-trained teaching staff as well as beginning and advanced sight-reading, diction and vocal pedagogy sessions. Cost is $140, which includes lunch and a camp tee shirt, and an additional $25 for those needing the All-State Music Packet for large schools (ask your choir director). Schools sending 10 or more students to participate will receive a $50 group discount; and students who are All-State Choir members will also receive a $50 discount on the camp fee. Online registration is available. Out-of-town campers and parents/guardians are encouraged to make hotel reservations at the Best Western Corpus Christi at 300 N. Shoreline Blvd., Corpus Christi (78411) by calling 361-883-5111 and using code DELCC. The DMC Music Department is not responsible for making reservations, and participants need to contact the hotel for pricing.
