A Celebration of Rosephanye Powell

  • Wolfe Recital Hall 101 Baldwin Boulevard Corpus Christi, TX, 78404 United States (map)

Don’t miss one of two powerful Thursday evening performances celebrating the music of Rosephanye Powell—one of America’s leading women composers in choral music––presented by the Del Mar College Choirs with the Music Department on Nov. 6 and 13.

Known for her rich harmonies, heartfelt melodies and rhythms inspired by African American traditions, Dr. Powell’s work speaks to both the soul and the spirit. These concerts honor not only her musical legacy but also supports her voice and values during a time of public controversy. The Nov. 6 performance begins at 7 p.m. in Wolfe Recital Hall on the DMC Heritage Campus (101 Baldwin Blvd., 78404) while the Nov. 13 concert begins at 7 p.m.  at St. John’s United Methodist Church (5300 S. Alameda, 78412). Both performances are free and open to the public, so don’t miss experiencing the beauty and impact of Dr. Powell’s work. Learn more about her at www.rosephanye.com/.
