Corpus Christi’s annual Texas Jazz Festival is one of the most anticipated music events of the year with fans of the genre coming from across the Coastal Bend, the state and from around the globe. A Texas Jazz Festival mainstay, Del Mar College’s Jazz Band will perform under the direction of DMC Music faculty member Dr. Abel Ramirez with the ensemble excited to welcome guest soloist Lalo Davila, Director of Percussion Studies at Middle Tennessee State University, on timbales and DMC Music faculty member Dr. Neil Sisauyhoat on congas, along with other soloists. Join them at the North Stage in Heritage Park on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 4:45 p.m. for a performance that features Big Band and Latin Jazz music.
