Mark your calendar for a full day of discussion covering music during the 3rd Annual Coastal Bend Music Industry Symposium. The free day-long event runs 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the House of Rock in Downtown Corpus Christi (511 Starr St., 78401) and brings together local musicians, talent, producers and creatives in one space to share industry trends and other information as the Corpus Christi music scene moves forward.
Among discussion moderators is Del Mar College Music faculty member Dr. Paul Bissell, Professor of Music and Coordinator of the college’s Sound Recording Technology Program, who will lead a panel discussion on recording sessions.
The Coastal Bend Music Industry Symposium was created for recognition of Corpus Christi and the region as a music friendly community by the Texas Music Office. This free event targets musicians and industry professionals to offer knowledge and resources during the panel discussions by representatives from the Texas Music Office and national organizations such as the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers, now known str4ictly as SESAC, and Broadcast Music Incorporated, along with the best representatives in the Coastal Bend’s music industry.
