Enjoy a full day of immersion into the rich culture of the Mexican-American community during Del Mar College’s 11th Annual Mexican American Studies (MAS) Summer Seminar.

Presented by the college’s Mexican American Studies Program, the MAS Summer Seminar is scheduled 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Saturday, July 26, on the first floor of the Solomon Coles Building on DMC’s Heritage Campus. Among presenters this year is renowned local artist and guest speaker Tony Armadillo and Corpus Christi-based Mexica danza group Kalpulli Ollin Papalotl.

Presentations include topics related to identity, language, migration, history of mariachi, importance of Mexican American studies programs, and so much more.
