Bishop - Bishop Police department Lieutenant Edward Day confirmed that around 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 a male in his 40’s was pronounced dead from a single shot gun wound at the Dollar General store in Bishop.

A 27-year old male suspect was arrested and taken to Nueces County Jail.

Day said that an “ongoing dispute” led to the shooting.

The incident is still under investigation.
