Vital Records Return to City Hall

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – The City announces the return of vital records to City Hall located at 1201 Leopard Street beginning Monday, August 9. Individuals needing certified copies of birth or death certificates will be able to access those records on the first floor of City Hall next to the Utilities & Business (UBO) office.

Facial coverings are recommended to enter City Hall.  Also, it is recommended you get vaccinated for COVID-19 if you have not done so already.

Hours of Operation are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Phone numbers for Vital Records include: (361) 826-7229, (361) 826-7233 or (361) 826-1344.

The Department of Vital Records had been located at the Corpus Christi- Nueces County Public Health District located at 1702 Horne Road.

You must have a valid State ID or Driver’s License to obtain certified copies of birth or death certificates.
