Jimmy Rivera, Nueces County Constable Precinct 3

BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) On 8/1/24 at around 630pm, a vehicle was reported to be swerving from lane to lane on business 77 near CR 4. The vehicle reached the Bishop City Limits and crashed into an electric pole at the corner of 6th street. Officers from Bishop PD, Nueces County Sheriff's Department, and Nueces County Pct 3 Constables Office responded to the scene along with fire/EMS personnel from NCESD 3 and NCESD 6. It was discovered that the male driver was having a diabetic emergency and he was treated/transported by EMS. AEP was advised of the damage to the pole and business 77 was shut down due to a low wire hanging across the roadway.
