CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) In response to the recent influx of mosquitoes, the City of Corpus Christi is taking proactive measures to address the increased mosquito population. The combination of stagnant water and high grass has created ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes, prompting the City's Vector Control to intensify its mitigation efforts.

To reduce mosquito larvae, Vector Control places larvicide tablets in stagnant water areas in the afternoon and then sprays for adult mosquitoes in the evening. If the mosquito population remains elevated, the City will continue these efforts.
