Press Release

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Corpus Christi – Nueces County Public Health District has been notified it will receive 4,000 Moderna vaccines on Monday, January 11. The large allocation of COVID-19 vaccines will be administered through a mega drive thru. Onsite registration will be conducted on a first come basis pending vaccine availability. The Health District will be vaccinating eligible  Phase 1A and Phase 1B individuals regardless of county residency.

In order to control the flow of vaccine distribution, the Health District will offer 500 vaccines daily through online pre-registration. An additional 500 vaccines also will be distributed daily through onsite registration to eligible Phase 1A and Phase 1B individuals. The drive thru will continue until all 4,000 vaccines have been distributed.

To pre-register online beginning Monday, January 11, visit www.cctexas.com/coronavirus and follow the link under recent updates. During online pre-registration you must receive a Quick Response (QR) code. Once the online pre-registration limit is reached, you will not be able to register until additional vaccines become available. You may still go to the vaccination drive thru site, but vaccine distribution will be on a first come basis.

The mega drive thru will be located at the Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard, Robstown, Texas. The drive thru is expected to begin at 12:00 p.m. but may be delayed depending on the time of vaccine delivery or inclement weather. After 1,000 vaccines have been distributed, the drive thru clinic will close and reopen the following day at 8:00 a.m.
