UPDATE: Traffic Alert: Laguna Shores Van Galen Channel

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release)– Beginning on Monday, November 29, there will be a full road closure on Laguna Shores Road starting south of the Van Galen Channel. This closure will impact a short segment of the roadway and is needed to allow City contractors to install a wastewater line and drainage structures across Laguna Shores Road.
The contractors will maintain local access along Laguna Shores Road from the intersection of Glenoak Drive to the Van Galen channel. This access will allow residents to turn right, in the southbound direction, onto Laguna Shores Road in order to access the neighborhoods between Glenoak Drive and the channel. Residents that need access on Laguna Shores Road south of the Van Galen Chanel must access the area via Caribbean Drive.
This closure is anticipated to last approximately three months while work is being completed.
Safety is a top priority, so motorists are reminded to be aware of the work zone, follow the posted detour signs, or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
