CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – Due to the deteriorating weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Nicholas, two of the three airlines that serve Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) have proactively canceled all of their flights for the next 24 hours.  Both United Airlines and Southwest Airlines have canceled all flights in and out of CCIA for the rest of the day.

At this time, American Airlines is showing all flights leaving and arriving today as scheduled.  Depending on weather conditions, that is subject to change.

As weather conditions develop, there could be additional disruptions for at least the next 48 hours and beyond.  Anyone who is scheduled to fly in or out of CCIA during this time should be in contact with their airline for the latest information.

Travelers also can visit www.corpuschristiairport.com for the latest posted flight schedules and status.

The airport terminal will remain open through the duration of the weather event to provide customer service to tenants and travelers who may need assistance.  Airport managers are monitoring conditions on the airfield and will take steps, if necessary, to maintain all safety standards at CCIA.
