Teen in Custody After Making Terrorist Threats

ODEM, TEXAS - (News Release) On Sept. 19th San Patricio County Sheriff received a call from the Odem ISD Superintendent of a school threat. First, they were extremely grateful for the actions of responsible students who identified the potential threats & reported to the principal. Deputies took immediate action & contacted the 17 year old student at his home at 7am. He was taken into custody & transported to jail with charges of Terrorist Threats. Children deserve the comforts of enjoying school without anxiety about fear.

San Patricio County Sheriff’s office says “We hear both sides, “school bullying” & “my parents don’t care” either way the solution is not violence towards our children. We have a zero tolerance for threats & we will address them vigorously. Parents, teachers, & students, you are our heroes & we need your support to protect you. Please share your concerns with us. It’s difficult to live with “I should have said something”.
