KLEBERG COUNTY - (News Release) The Kleberg County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce the acquisition of state-of-the-art ballistic protection shields, aimed at bolstering the safety of both deputies and the community they serve. Made possible through grant funding, this strategic investment underscores the agency's unwavering commitment to public safety.
The two large Special Ops Bunker are meticulously engineered for ease of transport and rapid deployment, these shields can seamlessly collapse into a compact unit, perfectly sized to fit within the trunk of a patrol car. This innovative design ensures that deputies can swiftly deploy the shields when confronted with emergency situations, enabling them to provide optimal protection to themselves and the community. The lightweight shields, intended for use in conjunction with bulletproof vests, will replace older, bulkier shields, offering deputies a dynamic and efficient defense solution.
