Shooting on the 2700 Block of South Staples

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Monday, February 10, 2025, at 7:58pm, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of S. Staples Street in reference to a shooting with injuries. 

Officers arrived and located a 23-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately provided aid until medics arrived. Medics transported the male to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit arrived and began their investigation. They spoke with witnesses and were advised of a black sedan (unknown make/model) that was involved in the shooting. The victim and offender met in the parking lot and during the conversation, the offender produced a firearm and shot the victim. Detectives believe the victim and offender are known to each other and there is no threat to the public as this is not a random act of violence.
