KINGSVILLE (News Release) - Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s School of Music has partnered with KEDT Radio to highlight the university’s talent and share it with South Texas.

Performances will be presented on KEDT 90.3 twice a month, usually on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, during the noon hour, immediately after the news.

Some of the performances, which will be about 35 minutes long, will be streamed from the School of Music Complex or from the KEDT studio with interviews related to each performance.

Listeners will experience a wide variety of musical performances by students, faculty and more than 30 ensembles from the School of Music.

“The opportunity for the Texas A&M-Kingsville School of Music to partner with KEDT is a fantastic way for our students, faculty, and ensembles to share our music and talents with the South Texas community,” said Dr. Hageman, Director of the School of Music and Regents Professor of Jazz Studies at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  “Our students will benefit from the professional environment created by such a collaboration, and they will gain insight into the process of performing live music ‘on the air.’  The School of Music looks forward to working with KEDT to continue to provide quality musical performances to all of the listeners in the vast South Texas KEDT listening area.  We are very excited and appreciative for this wonderful opportunity to make music with KEDT.”
