RICARDO - Born into what her sister calls "film royalty" in New York City, Ricardo resident and equine rancher, Elizabeth (Liz) McCullough, was cast as one of the main characters in a new film titled Jack be Nimble.

Jack be Nimble is a horror comedy set inside a nursing facility where five old school role players gamers live out their twilight years. One day, one of the gamers who is suffering from alcoholic induced dementia, comes to suspect that a staff member is a demon. He gathers his friends and together they begin the quest they have been waiting for.

Although McCullough was raised among Vaudeville with her family featuring Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and John Wayne, she had no interest in them until seven years ago when she was connected through a friend who needed horses for a film.

That connection led her to over fifty mostly low budget and western films. On one such set, she met the creator of Jack Be Nimble, Steve Wollett, who asked her to audition for the role of Storm. Storm is an old, nearly blind rocker who is wondering what has happened to her life.

In an email interview, Liz said that “there were many candidates for the role of Storm in his film, but (Steve) knew I was a good fit from the day he met me.”

In 2020, Liz flew out to Maryland for 10 days to film her part.

The cast and crew worked for a total of eleven days filming the scenes, all while coping with the fear of COVID-19. Most of the filming was completed in an actual assisted living home where precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the residents, crew and actors.

Several days into the shoot, a patient showed signs of a fever, so the entire production was moved to a new location overnight.

With filming behind schedule and editing delays, the final cut of the film was ready a few days after Christmas 2021.

Jack Be Nimble is scheduled to have its World Premiere in April 2022. The film has been entered into Fantasia, Tribeca, as well as several other festivals.
