SOUTH TEXAS - (News Release) On the week of Nov. 2nd, Webb and Hidalgo Counties experienced human smuggling events. TXDPS Troopers recovered two stolen vehicles. The Texas Department of Public Safety Brush Team, in collaboration with the US Border Patrol in the RGV , arrested a smuggling guide from Mexico. TXDPS K9 Fibi tracked 2.74 miles through the brush and arrested four illegal immigrants from Mexico. A TXDPS Trooper arrested a smuggler after locating two illegal immigrants concealed in the gas tank of a tractor-trailer.
