Bishop Police Department

CORPUS CHRISTI - (News Release) At approximately 3:30PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022, Bishop Police Department Investigators assigned to the Nueces County District Attorney's Criminal Interdiction Unit (NCDA-CIU), along with Officers from other NCDA-CIU participating law enforcement agencies, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 2400 block of Niagara Street, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

This narcotics search warrant was the result of an ongoing multi-jurisdictional criminal investigation, which led investigators to determine this residence was being utilized to distribute and sell Narcotics.

Three (3) adults and a 12 year old juvenile were at the residence when the search warrant was executed.

Officers located a large amount of narcotics inside the residence, to include; Methamphetamine, Heroin containing fentanyl, Crack, Cocaine and Synthetic Marijuana, along with a multitude of narcotics paraphernalia and packaging materials consistent with narcotics distribution / sales. Additional items of evidence were also collected on scene, to include, firearm magazines and ammunition.

Two (2) of the residents, identified as 30 year old Leonard Trevino and 30 year old Vanessa Morin were arrested and each were individually charged with three (3) counts of Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1) and one (1) count of Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2A). All charges are first degree felonies.

All other subjects at the residence were identified, interviewed and later released.
